WET150 – soil sensor

The WET150 soil sensor measures temperature, electrical conductivity, and water content in soil or substrate for optimal irrigation management and root health.

The WET150 allows you to monitor the temperature, electrical conductivity and water content of the soil or substrate. Versatile calibration options support a wide range of substrates and mixes, including coconut based ones. Specific calibrations are also available for our slabs. Choosing the most suitable calibration curve for each material ensures accurate and reliable data.

Volumetric water content: 0-100% (±3% accuracy)

Dielectric permittivity: 1-80
Accuracy: ±3% ( 1-40 range), ±5% (40-80 range)

Temperature: -20°C to 60°C (±0.7°C accuracy)

Electrical conductivity: 0-12 dS/m ±(6 % + 0.1 dS/m)

Protection class: IP68

Wireless and battery-powered

The elongated shape makes it particularly ideal not only for slabs, but also for vertically developed spaces, such as pots and grow cubes.
Besides correct sensor installation, proper placement of the radio transmitter is equally crucial to obtain correct and reliable measurements. The cable has an extension that allows the transmitter to be positioned above the plant canopy, creating direct communication with the Base Station and preventing the signal from being obstructed by the plant barrier that are created in the most advanced stages of the growing cycle.

  • For substrate-based cultivation, the WET150 should be inserted horizontally into the sides of the substrate at about half height, using the appropriate support to keep it stable. For optimal installation, the recommended height is about 3.2 cm from the base
  • For potted crops, the sensor can be directly buried inside, from top to bottom
