Weight sensor

By using one or more load cells, you can keep track of daily changes in plant biomass, the weight of individual plants and the gutter, and view it on MyAgeon cloud platform.

This extremely precise sensor provides weight measurements of plants and sections of gutters. The data collected through the installation of multiple load cells allows you to monitor, on MyAgeon platform, plant weight increase and decrease and the overall biomass variation of the cultivated hectare (approximately 2.47 acres). The same sensor, with a different setup, can weigh gutters with substrate on them, enabling supervision of plants hydration level.

Weight measurement: 0 – 100 kg (± 0.02 % accuracy FS [C3 Class Load Cell])

Protection class: IP67

Wireless and battery-powered

Installation for PLANT WEIGHT and BIOMASS INCREASE / DECREASE measurement

Number of weight sensors required: at least 3

Weight sensors must be hooked to the cultivation wire. To obtain a representative measurement, it is advisable to install one sensor approximately every two plants.

Installation for GUTTER WEIGHT measurement

Number of weight sensors required: 2

FOR PROPER INSTALLATION, YOU WILL NEED:
– A suspended gutter (long enough to hold 2 slabs)
– Chains or tensioners and hooks to install the sensors
– Two weight sensors (included in the G.IoT.To system)

Hook the gutter to the greenhouse structure at both ends and lift it a few centimeters from the normal support surface of the cultivation slabs. Place two of the 100 kg sensors between the tensioner and the support hook of the gutter. Position the slab on the raised portion of the gutter and adjust its slope using tensioners to replicate the inclination of the normal support surface of the slabs.
